Almost-Empty-Nest Mom & a Mother's Rule

Below is the closing paragraph to my comment to a post on Holly Pierlot's blog - A Mothers Rule of Life: How to Bring Order to Your Home and Peace to Your Soul

Finally I want to say as we get older, time passses more quickly and we move more slowly. It is a time where it does not seem we will be able to accomplish all we have to do, but provided we keep our focus on God and accomplishing his will in our lives we can be certain we are headed in the right direction.

I must share with you the miracle of intercession of
St. Monica. At a time when my marriage was about to end, I turned to God in penance for my sins. Asking the blessed Virgin Mary and St. Monica for intercession. I prayed the Rosary in the morning and at night. I fasted for 6 months. Then one day, my husband turned to me and said, "I do not know what it is but something is telling me that we need to be together." That was 18 years ago and we have never looked back. We renewed our covenant and God has blessed us abundantly. If you had known who we use to be, and who we became after our conversion of hearts, you would be amazed at the miracle. God hears your prayers. St. Monica hears your prayers and intercedes. Pray unceasingly for your sons. Like St. Monica was told, to talk more to God then your son. God will talk to your sons. May God bless you always.
